This map, created by two Dutch researchers, illustrates all the battles fought around the world in the last 4.000 years. According to Independent, the two researchers were Pim van Bree and Geert Kessels, who established LAB1100, a research and development company, based in The Hague, in the Netherlands
The map shows all the locations together with the battles' dates. They produced the below visualisation of all the logged locations and dates of conflicts dating back thousands of years, by using data harvested by DBpedia as well as data entered into Wikidata, which reflected entries related to battles in Wikipedia.
