35 Photos Of Protesting Women That Portray Female Power

Women fighting for equality has been a major topic for over a century, since the earliest Women's Day observance on February 28, 1909 in New York (source). Some years after that, in 2017, March 8 was established as a national holiday in Russia. In 1975, this day was declared by the United Nations as the International Women's Day.

This is a day when people need to remember all women's struggles for their rights. They need to remember that these fights aren't over as long as gender inequality still exists. During the past year, a multitude of women around the world decided to resist and protest against any governments and policies that don't respect their prerogatives, proving that the fight isn't over yet.
