When in his youth, Jadav “Molai” Payeng thought about helping the environment. That's how he began to plant trees in the same spot every day for 37 years.
He planted the seeds beside a deserted sandbar, very close to the Assam region in India, where he was born. Jadav tried to make a home for nature and protest against those who were cutting trees down.

That's how he later thought about dedicating his whole life to creating his own forest with planting trees in a particular place. For approximately each day for 37 years, the guy planted seeds and has now managed to create a brand new ecosystem. According to estimations, the forest is currently approaching a size of 1,360 acres.

But what changed Jadav's life? Apparently, once he discovered some dead snakes in the sandy area after a flood. While facing the deceased creatures, he decided that he should create a home for animals, so that they are saved from losing their families.

According to the now 47-year-old's interview with The Times of India, "the snakes died in the heat, without any tree cover." Jadav notably said: "I sat down and wept over the dead reptiles. It was carnage. I informed the forest department and asked them if they could grow trees in that sandy area. They insisted that nothing would grow there. Instead, they suggested that I try growing bamboo. It was difficult, but I did it. There was nobody to support me. Nobody cared”.
Jadav has actually made it; he created an ecological heaven for wild animals, an excellent example of how amazing nature is. The man's forest hosts over 115 elephants, some rhinos, deer and even a couple of tigers.
“I will continue to plant until my last breath,” Jadav promised. What a story!
Actually, thank you for sharing
