16 Unwritten Rules Of Politeness All Of Us Should Respect

Here’s a list of top unwritten rules of politeness in life all of us should know and respect. If everyone followed these rules, life would be much easier, and the world would be a better place.

1) When you borrow somebody’s car, return it to them either with a full tank of gas or fill it up at least more than what you got it. It's a nice way of saying thank you.

2) When somebody shows you a photo on their mobile, don’t swipe left or right so you won’t see something that might embarrass them.

3) Don’t ever break up with somebody over text message, email or via a social networking site.

4) Always leave one buffer urinal between you and the man next to you.

5) Be quiet when others are asleep. That means more than just not talking: not slamming doors or making other noises.

6) If you ask your friends to help you with housework, make them dinner to thank them.

7) Chew with your mouth closed. Nobody needs to listen to you crunching.

8) Do not let your arguments escalate in public. If you can’t control your language or volume, you should go somewhere else to continue where others won’t feel uncomfortable.

9) Always leave the last piece of food for the person who bought it or cooked it.

10) In case you miss a call, send a message as soon as possible if you can't call the person back.

11) When you borrow money from a friend of yours, pay them back as soon as possible. Even if it's a small amount, don’t assume they do not need it. Don't wait for them to ask you for it.

12) If you stay the night at somebody’s house, make the bed before you leave, no matter if they plan to wash the blankets later.

13) When someone else cooks for you, offer to help with the dishes.

14) If someone gives you the right of way on the road, you should wave to them as a sign of saying thank you.

15) Don’t make plans with your friends in front of people who aren't invited.

16) Do not stop in the middle of a busy sidewalk nor the entrance of a subway station.
