No matter your age, you're never too young or old to add beauty to our world. A person who has proven this to be true is 90-year-old Agnes Kasparkova, a former agricultural worker. Having picked up a new hobby in her later years, she is now developing the skill by beautifying houses in the small village of Louka, in southern Moravia, Czech.
MyModernMet reported that in her spare time, Kasparkova paints traditional Moravian motifs, including flowers, in a bright blue-ultramarine color on the exterior of buildings. She only decorates her favorite architectural structures. Her favorite space to paint is the village chapel. Although she is nearly a centenarian, she is energetic enough to climb up the scaffolding and paint flowery motifs on its walls.
Kasparkova has such a vivid imagination that she never plans out the artwork in advance. She usually just lets the paintbrush take the lead and admires the outcome afterward.
Kasparkova started painting the beautiful murals on the Moravian houses once the tradition was passed down to her. During the winter, she pauses her contribution because of the cold climate. But when spring arrives, she tosses on a heavy coat and keeps on transforming the village, with one hand-painted flower at a time.
If her example teaches anything, that is that you're never too old to infuse creativity into the world. Here are some beautiful pictures of Kasparkova’s work:
