Depression is an awful ailment to experience and any person who has, knows one thing; you are desperate for relief. Unfortunately, big pharma takes advantage of that to make money.
The big pharma has never truly cared for us; they simply want our money. They are filthy stinking rich, and it is off of our wallets as well. As rich as they are, you would think they'd at least do their jobs as they should, but, alas, that’s the last thing they're trying to do. They do not want to cure diseases because without them they would have no money! That's the biggest business in the US, and depression appears to bring in great amounts of their revenue.
Depression is a horrific, malicious disease which feeds on the life of our souls. It can leave us almost wishing we were dead because of how much it hurts. It’s challenging to get through and even more difficult to cure – at least that’s what they want us to believe. Big pharma will set anybody who is sad upon a long-term antidepressant, and it is actually killing us – still, we’re letting it happen.
A study conducted in Canada raised even more eyebrows to the accuracy and effectiveness of antidepressants. As it's now proven, antidepressants don't really work. In fact, they’re killing us by increasing the risk of early death by 33%! This study was conducted by a team of McMaster University in Hamilton, Ontario, and published in the journal Psychotherapy and Psychosomatics. It analyzed seventeen earlier studies which involved almost 400.000 participants to determine to long-term effects of antidepressants.
The team was studying the effect of antidepressants on patients with no cardiovascular issues since antidepressants can also thin blood, so they removed the data from patients with heart issues. What they discovered was terrifying. They found that the long-term effects of antidepressants increased the risk of death by 33%.
Science Daily explained why the risk is possibly elevated in that way:
It’s generally known that brain serotonin can affect mood and that most common antidepressant treatment blocks the absorption of serotonin by neurons. It's less widely known, however, that all the major organs of our body — the heart, the kidneys, the lungs, the liver — use serotonin from the bloodstream.
So, antidepressants block the absorption of serotonin in these organs too, and the researchers warn that antidepressant treatment could raise the risk of death by preventing many organs from functioning properly.
That's what lead researcher Paul Andrews said, as reported by the Daily Mail:
“We are very concerned by these results. They suggest that we shouldn’t be taking antidepressant drugs without understanding precisely how they interact with the body. I do think these drugs for most people are doing more harm than good and that physicians ought not to generally prescribe them.”
It is difficult to imagine how doctors can think that a drug that raises the risk of early death by 33% and doubles the risk for suicide, not to mention that over 90% of antidepressants don’t work.
