Environmental and social justice campaigners have a reputation for being pro-faced moralists who frequently lecture people on the woes of our world. Humor is disarming and it is not compatible with heartfelt, intense anger about any injustice. If anything, humor can communicate moral outrage in a way that is easy to relate to.
