Bookstagrammer James Trevino uses his huge library of books for more than merely reading. With a shelf arranged like a creative rainbow, he pulls from his collection and turns the texts into imaginative displays. Every book cover is like a stroke of paint; when they're placed together in particular formations, they produce pictures which are best viewed from above.
Pop culture frequently finds its way into Trevino’s book display ideas. He is a fan of the Lord of the Ring trilogy, Game of Thrones, Pokémon, Harry Potter, and Star Wars. A lot of his arrangements include nods to those series as he recreates their emblems or symbols—often with a little help of digital editing.
Trevino does not stop at pop culture, however. He often creates entire landscapes out of books which envision him as a laidback lifeguard, wand-wielding magician, and fierce pirate. Every charming book display shows the power of imagination and is an homage to the texts that spark it.
Along with running his popular Instagram, Trevino co-curates My Book Features as well. It shares delightful pictures from book lovers around the globe.
