There were no colored pictures until the 1970s and, therefore, we often see black and white photographs of history before that time. However, the technology today can make anything possible, from high-quality colored images to even 3D versions of them. Not only that but our technology today give us our only opportunity to see what the world looked in the past as well.
An Austrian photographer and digital artist, Mario Unger, decided to colorize the historical photos and the result is truly spectacular. Seeing these black and white historical photographs colorized makes it easy to imagine the part of a world that we have never even seen. It really alters our perspective of history!
