Millions of those colorful insects travel more than 3,000 miles to arrive at the southwest portion of Mexico. Once they reach there, the monarchs blanket the branches of the oyamel fir trees!

The number of butterflies is so big, they end up coloring the trees orange and bend the branches under their weight.
