How often do you get your faith in humanity destroyed? It could be very easily said that we daily stumble upon things which irritate and stress us, and these situations (almost) always involve other human beings. We often need to calm ourselves down and count to five before we do something for which we'll regret for the rest of our lives.
So, why continue to have faith that people are good? Why still have faith in humanity when we hear stories of crimes almost every day?
Many people might be total as*holes, but that is no reason to lose our faith in humanity!
Let’s not forget that many people can be real saints, and the weird thing is that often these saints are not our close friends. In fact, this is the strangest thing! We're more likely to get an honest compliment by a total stranger rather than our closest ones.
We need to be deeply grateful for many things, and it's all credited to particular human beings.
Seeing the goodness in other people, something as simple as appreciating effective customer service or looking for the good intentions of somebody criticizing us deepens the optimistic neural pathways in our brain.
Having faith in humanity matters because when you look for the good in others, you'll find it. What kind of world would you like to see?
The following video created by Curiosidades 10 will totally restore your faith in humanity.
