Your wedding day can be the best or the worst day of your life. Sure, you're making a loving commitment to your soulmate, but the pre-planning to get this special occasion takes blood, tears, sweat, and in most cases a ton of cash. Blushing brides transform into bridezillas, and everybody around them must try not to get caught in the crossfire. One such horror story was shared by Twitter user @0lspicykeychain, a member of a “wedding shaming” group on Facebook, which delights in discussing the wackiest of wedding tales.
It starts with a story of two young lovers that got engaged at a mere 18 years old and sealed this bond with a “worth nearly $5k” ring. When they were 20 years old, their family grew to three with the arrival of their new baby. Like most couples, both wished to profess their love to each other in front of friends and family and began saving up for a wedding bonanza. The couple managed to save up $15,000. However, after some consultation from a psychic, they were told they should conduct the ceremony in Aruba. Destination weddings aren't cheap folks and at an estimated $60,000 stormy seas were ahead. The bride wrote that she requested her attendees help pay for the overseas soiree at $1,500 per head, as this is what friends are for right? To her dismay only eight guests RSVP’d, and our bride proceeded to have a break-down (to put it lightly).
