Adorable Pictures Of Tortoises Dressed In Cute Warm Clothes

Pet owners often dress up their cats or dogs. However, have you ever thought of dressing up a tortoise? It seems like you can as Katie Bradley, an artist and tortoise rescuer from Vancouver, has a passion for crocheting cute tortoise cozies.

Katie has seven rescued tortoises. She has been hand-crocheting cozies for tortoises since 2012 and is selling them on Etsy to raise some extra funds for her ‘tortoise budget.’ She also started donating 10 percent of her income from the shop to International Reptile Rescue in Oregon.

Katie said: "They should be used under supervision, shouldn’t be used near a heat source, and because tortoises are cold-blooded, obviously don’t replace an external heat source. Tortoise absorbs UVB through the skin on their legs and head, so as long as they don’t wear a cozy all the time, it won’t hurt the tortoise to have a stroll in the yard dressed."
