Woman 'Sings' In A Hauntingly Beautiful Voice To Summon Cows

The following video depicts a woman calling a herd of cows. While you might think nothing is fascinating about gathering cows, I’m sure this video will make you feel otherwise.

Jonna Jinton is a 26-year-old artist, photographer, and blogger, who went to the field wearing a stunning white dress to perform “Kulning.”

As a paper published in the journal Academia reported, Kulning is a Swedish style of singing used to call cattle, sheep or goats. It's mainly used by herding girls that live in the mountain villages of Sweden.

As Jinton steps into the foggy pasture, she starts performing the Kulning, making enchanting sounds that remind of a whistle because of the pitch.

In only a few seconds, the cows, that were at a distance, heard the sound and began to move towards her, forming lines as if she's about to give a command–like Daenerys to her dragons in “Game of Thrones.”

Humans have a special way of communicating with animals. In fact, our ancestors had built specific connections with animals, and such a connection has perhaps been retained, making the cows recognize the ancient herding call.

Thousands of people have viewed the video. Jinton explained on her blog that she did that on her birthday.

She decided to celebrate the night of her birthday with nature and wander around a place which was once cultivated by her ancestors.

She said she liked the idea of knowing whether the cows still remember some of the ancient calls.

As Mother Nature Work reports, Kulning is like yodeling, also a form of communication which echoes against mountains and down into valleys. The high-pitched range is meant to travel distances, so even if the animals are far away, they can still hear the call.
