One night, a couple was driving late near Oviedo, Florida when they found an abandoned dog on the side of the road. The pup's fur was severely matted, he was barely responsive, and had been neglected for most of the four years he had been alive. Unable to keep him overnight, the pair put out a desperate plea on social media which was answered by groomer Kari Falla.
“When a dog is matted that badly, it can cause its blood flow to stop as well as bruising to the dog,” Falla told Inside Edition. The poor dog needed urgent care, so Falla rushed to her salon, BGE Grooming, and opened for business at midnight to take him in. Working tirelessly until three in the morning, Falla shaved and bathed him thoroughly, and then took him to the vet as soon as she could.
The dog was named Lucky. He was found to be deaf and blind, but he recovered successfully in a foster home. To follow Lucky’s progress, and to be the first to know when he is ready for a forever home, follow BGE Grooming on Facebook using the link below.
