Dogs can theoretically survive a vegan diet, but the risks are high and they'll need to be monitored carefully. Chemically synthesized supplements used to replace naturally-occurring vitamins and amino acids can be expensive and need to be administered in the right quantities, and veterinary professionals advise against the practice in general. People who decide to do it anyway usually do it for their moral benefit, at the expense of their dog’s health. Maybe these people should consider getting a rabbit or a goat instead?
