The strength, sharp intelligence, incredible instincts, and social abilities of wolves is what has placed them among the world's most respected animals. The stunning animal has been featured in books, movies, legends, paintings and other cultural products for centuries. So it is understandable that some people wanted to take some of that wilderness home. With the idea of combining the best of both worlds, they created a wolfdog. Wolfdog is basically a mixture of wolf and the domestic dog, both of which are members of same Canis species.
You probably would not think twice about his descent if you met Yuki and no wonder why. He is one of the highest content wolfdogs at the sanctuary where he's currently staying. “His DNA testing came back as 87.5 percent Gray Wolf, 8.6 percent Siberian Husky, and 3.9 percent German Shepherd,” said a staff member of Shy Wolf Sanctuary Brittany Allen.
Yuki's photo has attracted a lot of much-needed attention, which helped to raise awareness and tell both tragic and heart-melting story of the majestic wolfdog that received a second chance at life when he was saved by Shy Wolf Sanctuary.
