Have you ever dreamed of a cinema in your bedroom? Well, a Swiss cinema got as close to that dream as possible by opening a ‘VIP bedroom’ screen with double beds instead of traditional seats. The ‘VIP bedroom’ can be found in Switzerland inside Cinema Pathé in the northwesterly municipality of Spreitenbach near the Swiss-German border. Does anybody fancy a trip to Switzerland?
The unique cinema is bound to feature eleven beds with adjustable headrests, two pillows, and grey and beige sheets. There are even bedside tables to make the experience as chill and home-like as possible.
A VIP ticket costs 49 francs (about $48.50) and includes free food and a drink, while regular tickets cost 19.50 francs (or $19). Also, by paying for the VIP ticket, you will not have to wait in queues to get your snacks and drinks.
The cinema even offers slippers to enhance the experience for you. In case that isn’t fancy enough for you, Venanzio Di Bacco, the CEO of Pathé Switzerland, has also announced that they are launching new food offerings including waffles and crepes.
Other VIP experiences include a cinema with double sofas, as well as a 350-capacity IMAX screen. For those who worry about the hygiene, Venanzio Di Bacco said that the sheets will be changed between every single film, adding: “The hygiene aspect is very important to us.”
Not only do adults get to enjoy the new cinema experience – there is a children’s cinema area too, and it has bean bags, a ball pit, and even a slide to use instead of stairs. The ticket for children costs 14.50 francs ($14) per child.
