As an avid runner, Jared Wein frequently trains with others to prepare for upcoming races.
But he has never had running partners quite as unique as this.
Wein was recently on a run near his home in Michigan when he selected a path that cut through a local park. It was where, just off the trail, he noticed a group of three deer grazing on some grass. Little could Wein have guessed what would follow.
Inexplicably, watching a guy out running inspired the deer to get in some exercise too. And with this, Wein suddenly found himself being followed.
"I was just thinking, ‘How crazy and wild is this!" said Wein. "I had to record it, or else nobody would believe me."

Here is a video of the scene:
The deer followed Wein for approximately half a mile; they slowed when he slowed and sped up when he would. The animals opted for a different rout eventually, veering down a quiet side street while Wein continued straight.
Still, the workout was more effective than most due to Wein's unlikely running buddies.
