In a crowded and busy place like New York, tempers are always on the fringe. With such flaring tempers, one needs to seek therapy for anger management actively. However, the Manhattan district of New York recently decided to install Punching bags on the roads where frustrated commuters can come and vent their feelings.
The pollution, the noise, the collisions, the traffic jams, all serve to make a street on Monday morning a tumbling pressure cooker. For that reason, a USA design studio has constructed a cathartic punching bag to be used on most Manhattan streets for people to express their anger.
According to Truth Theory, the quirky initiative by the Savannah, Georgia based studio called donttakethisthewrongway was a part of the NYCxDESIGN, or the New York City Design Week 2019. It was released to the public as a catharsis to their pent up frustrations in a communal space.
If you're confused as to why there's a presence of a yellow square punching bag on your way to work, just read the board attached to it, which would ask you to punch it and release your frustrations.
