Imagine you enter your house and find your wife in bed with another man? What would you do? Of course, you will be disappointed – shocked, surprised, angry, furious etc. You know that you shouldn't react, but you apparently do. Maybe there's a verbal fight and then, you get out of the house and go your way – perhaps in a shady bar where you can drown your sorrow with pints of alcohol.
Well, it may sound like a Hollywood movie to all of you – but this is a reality for many people. Most Americans, about 90 percent, will not subscribe to the idea of infidelity. However, over 40-50 percent of people tend to cheat. And this often leads to depression, domestic abuse, suicide, etc. Is cheating intrinsic to us though? Is the saying true that if someone is once a cheater, then they are always a cheater? We do not know that yet, but the repercussions of cheating are present all over the animal world.
The video below proves it all. A penguin came back home to meet his wife and to his surprise, he finds his wife with another male penguin. Enraged, he begins to pick a fight with the other male, but before that, he calls for the female penguin and asks her to choose one of them – the husband or the homewrecker. The penguin chooses the homewrecker. The husband begins to use his beak to weaken the husband, but the bloody fight ends with his defeat.
The penguin gives out a final plea to his wife – then he walks away, defeated, broken, trying to find comfort in some other female’s arms.
