Teen and his Cow Went Viral After Taking a Nap Together

There is nothing like the relationship shared between a boy and his cow – take a look at these pictures to see proof of this.

15-year-old Mitchell Miner from Iowa was captured on camera taking a nap with his cow Audri, and people can’t get enough of it.

Their friendship shows the powerful bond between humans and animals – and proves that cows can be just as cute (and smart) as dogs and cats.

Mitchell and Audri were hoping to score a blue ribbon at the Iowa State Fair after they spent time daily for two months preparing for the big contest.

Mitchell dedicated a lot of time walking, grooming, feeding, and cleaning up after the gentle giant. In the process, the two formed a solid bond.

They woke up at 3 am to get ready for the show, so they were both pretty sleepy at the end of the entire thing.

Mitchell’s dad, Jeremy Miner, walked in on the two snoozing away in the cow’s stall and decided to snap a quick pic of the sweet moment. He later posted the photo to his Facebook page, where it quickly got a lot of likes – over 15,000 likes in just one day!

When interviewed by the Des Moines Register, Mitchell explained he was not sure how the two became as close as they had.

Of course, mom always knows best. Mitchell’s mother, Laura, had her ideas about their tight-knit relationship.

“I think it’s just when you spend that much time with them, they get really comfortable with you,” she said.

Mid-westerners definitely know how to give their best to their farm work. According to Mitchell’s dad, raising livestock requires a great deal of work, and his family is proud of how well they care for their animals.

Both Laura and Jeremy grew up on farms, and they are the first-generation in a long line of farmers to break tradition. Their son clearly inherited the gene for it!

The family borrowed Audri for the summer, and unfortunately, she’ll head back to her dairy farm in Blairstown in the fall after the family finishes showing her in September.

We can only hope Mitchell continues to visit his pal – or maybe he can find a way to keep her.
