A woman who has just celebrated her 107th birthday shared her secret to living a long life: stay single.
Louise Jean Signore, who lives in the Bronx in New York, maintains a healthy diet and exercises regularly. But she believes the real reason why she has enjoyed over a century is that she never tied the knot.
She said:
"I think the secret of 107: I never got married. I think that's the secret. My sister says, 'I wish I never got married.'"

Signore's sister is 102-years-old, so longevity may run in the family.
She added other tips as well:
"Italian food. Italian food is very good for you. I was brought up with very good food. No soda, no cake."
"If they have exercise, I do the exercise. If they have dancing, I dance. I still a do a little dancing. After my lunch, I will play bingo, so I had a full day."

The woman celebrated her milestone with a birthday party at the Bartow Community Center in Coop City. More than 100 people attended.
Aging with grace hasn’t been without challenges. She’s legally blind, recently overcame pneumonia, and at 103 survived an assault and robbery in her apartment building. According to CBS reporter Jessica Layton, her strength is inspiring.
Alelia Murphy, 114 years old, currently holds the record for being the oldest living woman in the US. Murphy lives in Harlem in New York, that is also where Signore was born.
