When it comes to planning a wedding proposal, timing is everything. Waiting for that “perfect” moment is a standard practice when popping the question. Edi Okoro, self-described “spontaneous improviser,” took that idea to the extreme—and he has a funny Facebook album to prove it.
For an entire month, Okoro secretly snapped photos of his girlfriend, Cally Read, unknowingly posing with an engagement ring. Showing the diamond only inches away from Read as she slept, stood in line, and stared straight at the camera, this series of 20 pictures illustrates the lengths Okoro went to both catch his girlfriend off-guard and propose in a way which suited his spur-of-the-moment approach.
As the days-long proposal progressed into weeks, Edi challenged himself to push the envelope even further. He said: “The idea was to take as many photos, in more daring scenarios, until I found the perfect moment to propose or until I got caught, at which point I would propose!”
Luckily, the “moment” finally came before Read could catch Edi in the act—though he has yet to spill the details. However, he shared a final selfie. This time, the engagement ring is finally on Read’s finger.
