Lady Gaga has recently announced that she'll be funding dozens of classroom projects in three US cities that have fallen victim to recent mass shootings.
The pop singer and Oscar award-winning actress made a Facebook post saying she and her Born This Way Foundation would partner with Donors Choose to fund the educational needs of students in Dayton, Ohio, Gilroy, California, and El Paso, Texas.
Gaga will be funding the projects and resources of 162 classrooms in these cities.
The musician also used Facebook as a means of encouraging the victims of the shootings and expressing her condolences for those affected.
“My heart goes out to those who were taken from us too soon and to their families, loved ones, and communities who are left to grieve,” Gaga wrote. “Everyone has the right to laws that make them feel safe in their communities. In this moment, I want to channel my confusion, frustration, and fury into hope. Hope that we are there for each other and for ourselves.”
