Far from everybody has a fondness for stray cats. Or cats in general for that matter. While many people are desperate cat lovers, others think that cats are mean, selfish creatures. And when it comes to stray felines, well, some tend even to feel disgusted by them. This is sad for the adorable animals.
However, one cat in Brazil had all the luck in the world after it got a job offer to silence its critics.
Some people were angry about Leon, the cat roaming the Order of Attorneys of Brazil (pretty much the Brazilian Bar Association), and filed complaints about it being in the reception area. What the OAB did was amazing: it hired the cat as a lawyer to stop the complaints!
When Dr. Jeanette Laredo shared the good news about the cat becoming an official employee of the OAB, the news went viral online.
Now Dr. Leon, the lawyer Cat, that welcomes people coming into the OAB is famous and even has an Instagram page of his own dedicated to his antics and animal law. More than 30,000 people follow the cat on Instagram, and I’m sure some of us are a bit jealous of the attention.
