Piercings and tattoos are a common sight nowadays, with folks coming up with new ways to design their body. Getting a piercing that's not just on your ear is a growing trend that has become a massive hit over the years, and plebians are only voluntarily getting their noses, eyebrows, lips, nipples, and even genitals pierced. An eye surgeon has now discovered that you can expurgate your own eyeballs to fit jewelry in.

While thinking of that make mine twitch, piercing enthusiasts are up to their eyeballs in it! Wonder who is the man behind the tattooed eyeballs? It is none other than Dr. Emil Chynn, the 'Most Experienced LASEK Surgeon in the US'. Now, the experienced surgeon is offering his services and piercing people's eyeballs surgically. As Daily Mail reported, Emil implants a platinum piece of jewelry into his patients' eyes. Um, that doesn't sound comfortable, at all.

The well-known surgeon shared a video of him performing this trending new surgery to inform potential patients about how the surgery is done and that it's absolutely safe. Shockingly enough, some people with a few $$$ in their pockets to spare have visited the doctor in New Jersey. When it comes to the jewelry going into your eyeball, it needs to be specific in size, ideally - 3mm-by-4mm-wide.

The patient lies down comfortably and is given a strong anesthetic. Then, the doctor lines a crosshair to determine where the jewelry should be placed. Chynn then makes an incision in the membrane of the patient's eye, big enough to fit the jewelry piece. The process is reportedly 'painless' and the patient does not feel anything. The whole thing only lasts about four to five minutes and can be easily done if you have $3,000-$5000 to spare.

The incision takes up to three days to heal. The doctor says that the person does not feel the jewelry when they blink as it's inserted at the natural level of their eye. The metal is also non-allergic; he adds that getting a surgery like that done has no side effects at all. If you do get bored of your piercing, it isn't impossible to get rid of them. The piercings can be removed with another surgical procedure that lasts about 4-5 minutes.
