Being a wildlife photographer can be exciting but also quite scary sometimes. It takes a lot of guts to leave your comfort zone and mingle with nature, come face-to-face with wild animals, and even risk your life to capture the perfect shot.
Gren Sowerby is a 69-year-old wildlife photographer who has been photographing wildlife for about 40 years. But recently he got the "shock of his life".
Sowerby lives in Whitley Bay, Northumberland. He claims it's a pleasure to spend his time around wild beasts. However, in September 2019, when he went on a safari in Maasai Mara, Kenya, he had a shocking experience.
He spotted a huge lion around 40-50 feet away from him and prepared to take some unique photos of the majestic animal.
As you'll see below, the huge lion roared at the photographer. Who wouldn't be scared by something like that? But after doing that, the wild animal smiled at him. Take a look for yourself:
