Nicholas Samaras is among the most committed underwater photographers. His passion and devotion to sea and its creatures combined with his excitement in bringing out to surface the beauty of the sea world with extraordinary aesthetics quickly established him both in Greece and abroad.
Recently, he captured an incredibly beautiful and powerful picture of the Greek Paralympian swimmer Antonis Tsapatakis. Tsapatakis became a T8-9 complete paraplegic after a spinal cord injury due to a motorbike accident in 2006. He competes in 100m breaststroke SB4 classification.
Tsapatakis obtained many awards in national, European, and global competitions. He possesses over 20 gold, silver, and bronze medals. His passion and determination led him to the 2012 Paralympics in London, which added to his biographical material the fourth place in 100m breaststroke SB4. Back in 2015, he won the silver medal at Glasgow's International Paralympic Committee (IPC) Swimming World Championship.
