The truth is that it can be easily spotted, as some of the symptoms are easily missed.
Below you can see ten signs that if ring a bell, it might be a good idea to arrange a visit to your psychologist.
1. Sleepless nights
Yes, it's true; we all suffer from sleeping difficulties from time to time, our hectic way of life, stress, and malnutrition can cause sleeping disorders. However, insomnia or waking up in the middle of the night or the early morning hours for quite a long period of time might be a red flag for depression.
On the other hand, constantly feeling tired and sleeping long hours are also symptoms of depression.
2. Appetite and weight changes
The fluctuation of appetite and weight is quite common among people that suffer from depression.
The experience differs, while some patients are not interested in food anymore and suffer from weight loss. Others seek solace in the serotonin, stimulating junk food, which results in gain weight.
3. Stressful Decisions
If you find yourself unable to focus and make the most straightforward decisions if you can't trust yourself on choosing the right thing to do because you are full of self-loathing, all these can be signs of depression.
