The circumstances are unprecedented; the intensity is high, the fatigue is endless. The coronavirus pandemic is testing the boundaries of national health systems in most countries around the world.
At the same time, however, it has brought to the forefront invisible "heroes" to this day, doctors and nurses who are continually fighting, risking their lives and often without the necessary supplies, to save lives.
Countless stories of self-sacrifice with the same protagonists, from every corner of the globe, have come to light in recent weeks, and the number of those who "fell" in the battle for human life is increasing every day.
Another is that of doctors and nurses at Hasharon Hospital in Petah Tikwa, Israel, who, while working in special uniforms to protect themselves, have placed photos of their faces on their chests so that patients can know who is "hiding" behind the care they receive every day.
The photos have been circulating on social media in recent days, sending moving messages amid an unprecedented ordeal, and show how important it is to provide psychological support to patients who face the fear of death.

Imagine how frightening it must be for a patient in complete isolation to receive hospital care from doctors who appear in masks and are covered from head to toe. Doctors in Israel use photographs to let patients know who is taking care of them. Even in times of crisis, humanity wins
It is worth noting that in China alone, where the epidemic began and has long since passed the first peak, according to the Associated Press, more than 3,000 doctors and nurses became infected with the virus while on duty.
