A 6-year-old boy from Wyoming has been praised across the internet for his heroic actions in saving his sister from a vicious dog attack. Bridger Walker jumped into action when the 1 year-old German Shephard lunged at his little sister. The hero was badly mauled, requiring a 2-hour surgery and over 90 stitches. It has left a deep scar on Bridger's face.
The story caught on when Bridger's aunt first posted the news to her Instagram:
"My nephew is a hero who saved his little sister from an attacking dog. He, himself, took on the attack so that the dog wouldn't get his sister. He later said, 'If someone was going to die, I thought it should be me.' He got home from the hospital last night. I know it's a long shot, but I'm reaching out to the Avengers and other heroes so that they can learn about this latest addition to their ranks."

Amazingly, stars of the Avengers such as Mark Ruffalo, who plays the Hulk in the film franchise and of whom Bridger is a massive fan, reached out directly to the family. All giving their praise to the amazing courage of young Bridger. Some of Hollywood's biggest stars, including Anne Hathaway, Tom Holland, Hugh Jackman, Zachary Levi, the Russo brothers and Robbie Amell also reached out to the family.

"I'm not an Avenger, but I know a superhero when I see one. I can only hope I'm half as brave in my life as you are in yours, Bridger. Wishing you an easeful recovery, and many cool looking rocks."

Bridger also has a large collection of rocks that are featured in one of his online photographs.
The family concluded their statement obtained by CNN by saying:
"May we follow Bridger's example, approach the world as a child, and bring greater peace to our own homes, communities, states and countries."
What we need at these times more than anything is bravery and good sense, let's all take inspiration form Bridger in these testing times.
