This collection of remarkable images was captured by Indian wildlife photographer Supreet Sahoo and are among the best we have ever seen. The collection is comprised of photographs of birds from his travels in South and Central America's rainforests.
All shot with his Canon 1D X Mark II, the images of the birds capturing their amazingly different colours, physical structures and behaviours demonstrate the true uniqueness and variety of life that mother nature has created here on Earth.
According to Supreet, among the countries he has visited, Peru is the most invigorating place in the world for avian photographers as the country contains more unique bird species than anywhere else.
In an interview with Healthy Food House, he explained:
"Peru is where photographers and bird watchers aspire to go. It is, after all, a country with the most diverse bird species and scenic views that have worldwide photographers stunned. It is a must-visit on every bird photographer's bucket list. Peru is a birder's paradise with the most beautiful avian treasury in the world. Peru is home to 20% of the world's total bird species, along with the highest number of endemics in the world! And the count increases every day. It is abundant with so many beautiful destinations, and apart from the well-known heritage site Machu Picchu, I had to show you the birds the country boasts of!"
Supreet added that he works extensively with Naturalists and conservations who assist him on his travels. He stated:
"In the last few years, I have been working with naturalists and guides in Central and South American rainforests to establish a network that helps me and my guests get special access to tropical wildlife. This is what separates our tours from the rest. From seeing owls and quetzals in private farms in Costa Rica to finding Cock of the Rock leks in private farms in Colombia -- we do everything to get the best images possible!"
So, sit back and enjoy the wonder of the amazing birds that live in America's rainforests!
