Alyssa Kelley, of Boise, Idaho, published the story of her paddle-boarding adventures with her pet goat 'Mr. Mayhem' online and the story soon went viral, being picked up by numerous news agencies.
Alyssa first took up paddle-boarding last year after she injured a ligament in her leg. She saw paddle-boarding as a low-intensity way to help recovery and get some exercise. Never did she think though that her pet goat would be joining her on trips.
Nevertheless, she says the five-year-old Nigerian pygmy goat likes to follow her everywhere and was soon jumping on the paddle-boat for trips on the lake by their home. Mr. Mayhem likes to step on the back of the board and Alyssa either stands or sits and paddles along.
Mr. Mayhem has fairly good balance, though he did end up in the water on a couple of occasions. Alyssa says that ever since he was young, he has followed her on hiking trips, walks and even around the garden and has a real sense of excitement.
A video of the pair shows their delightful water adventures and will surely brighten anyone's day!
