The 17-Year-Old killer of 2 Black Lives Matter protestors had a front row seat at a Donald Trump re-election rally in January. A video which shows him at the rally emerged online and has been confirmed to be genuine by fact-checking website 'Snopes'.
The rally took place in Drake University in Des Moines, Iowa, the killer then posted a TikTok video of him attending the rally.
Kyle Rittenhouse has been charged with the murder of two individuals after he opened fire on protestors. While a video online showed him running from a crowd being hit and falling to the ground and then unleashing fire new evidence shows that he had already killed another protestor.
In earlier footage Rittenhouse, who appears to be under no threat shoots a man in the head with an AR-15 assault rifle. It is then that he is later chased down by protestors and the second shooting event occurs.
It is believed that Rittenhouse travelled from his home in Illinois to Wisconsin and joined up with another group of individuals that claimed they were seeking to defend property and businesses from protests in Wisconsin which had erupted after the shooting of Jacob Blake by a police officer. All were heavily armed and dressed in militia type clothing.
Responding to the footage showing Rittenhouse at the Trump rally a Trump spokesperson, Mario Parker said:
"President Trump has repeatedly and consistently condemned all forms of violence and believes we must protect all Americans from chaos and lawlessness. This individual had nothing to do with our campaign, and we fully support our fantastic law enforcement for their swift action in this case."
It is not the first time a Trump rally attendee has gone on to commit acts of violence. Cesar Sayoc, the so-called MAGA bomber, who attempted to bomb Democratic politicians in 2018 and later sentenced to life imprisonment also attended numerous Trump rallies.
Sayoc later went on to say in regards to attending Trump rallies that it was like being:
"So wrapped up in this new found fun drug."
He later denounced his actions saying:
"Politics is dirty, ruthless, deadly. It is a poison. It will drive you crazy like it or not."
