A woman has been tasered, arrested and charged with criminal trespassing after refusing to wear a mask while attending a school football game in Ohio.
The footage has now been shared widely on social media, with some commentators supporting the woman and saying that the police action was too strong, while others have argued that the woman deserved everything she got for thinking that everyone had to obey the rules apart from her and then resisting arrest. In the crowd of approximately 300 people, the woman and her mother were the only ones not wearing a mask.

Footage shows a police officer approaching the woman and telling her to wear a face mask, as everyone else in the crowd is doing. She then claims she has asthma and is exempt from the rules. She is then asked by the officer to leave the stadium. She refuses to do so. After resisting arrest for 2 minutes she is then tasered.
At one point the woman shouts:
"You're not arresting me for nothing, I ain't doing nothing wrong."
The athletic director of the school, Theresa Schultheiss, told the Marietta Times that all those entering the stadium were told they would be required to wear masks. She said:
"This rule has been in effect since we were told we could play. Everyone that came through ticketing tonight was reminded, we had regular announcements over the PA reminding you that mouths and noses needed to be covered and we had signs at the bathrooms."
As the woman is led away a facemask with an American flag can be seen in her back pocket. Why she felt it necessary to go through the whole disruption instead of simply putting on a mask is not yet clear. Many though, appear to believe that not wearing a facemask and potentially infecting others with a deadly disease is part of their freedom.
