11-Year-Old Muslim Pupil Told Teacher In Germany That He Would Behead Her Like 'The Teacher In Paris'

German media have reported that a schoolteacher has been threatened by an 11-year-old Muslim pupil who told her that he would behead her. The chilling remarks come just weeks after French schoolteacher Samuel Paty was beheaded by an 18-year-old Chechen refugee after he showed a cartoon of the Islamic prophet Mohammed in class during a debate on freedom of speech.

It is alleged that the pupil did not behave during a 1 minute silence held for the murdered schoolteacher and that he told a teacher:

"I'll do the same with you as the boy did with the teacher in Paris."

He is also alleged to have told fellow pupils:

"It is to kill someone who had insulted the prophet."

An imam apparently then spoke to the child telling him his views were wrong and did not represent Islam. He was then sent home. He is not however believed to be the only pupil to have said such things within schools. It is believed that many investigations are open, including into children as young as 8, who are thought to have defended of justified the killing of the teacher. Many are thought to have disrupted memorial services and minute-silences.

Following the teacher's murder in France, the French security services opened up investigations into over 60 people who they believed to be supporting terrorism.

Security services are particularly worried that many European who went to fight for ISIS during the Syrian civil war have returned to the lands of their birth and now have combat experience as well as training, making them more dangerous than ever. As yet none of the recent attackers in the Samuel Paty case, the Vienna shooting or the Nice stabbing are thought to be returnees, though the Vienna shooter had previously been imprisoned in Austria for attempting to join ISIS in Syria.

Germany has been subject to several attacks by Islamist extremists in the last few years, including the Berlin truck attack in 2016 that killed 12 people and multiple smaller attacks using bombs, guns and knives. Germany has however, thus far, escaped the sheer volume of attacks that have been launched on French soil.
