A brutal assault has been caught on camera showing a man carrying out an unprovoked attack on a 12-year-old boy who was sitting calmly on a street-curb in Coney Island while he waited for a friend. The video shows the man slowly walking up behind the boy, leaning over, and then sucker-punching him full force in the face. The man then slowly walks away. The boy was left with serious injuries, including fractures to his face. He was immediately knocked unconscious by the blow. Thankfully he is expected to make a full physical recovery.

Authorities are still searching for the man and absolutely no motive is known. For that reason, the authorities believe that there may be mental-health issues at play. He is thought to be 20 to 30 years of age.
Eyewitness News, tweeted the incident in the hope that somebody may be able to identify the man. They said:
