Three children have had their lives saved after the organs of a nine-year-9-Year- boy struck by lightning were donated to them.
Jordan Banks was killed last week after he was struck by lightning while playing in a field near Blackpool, England.
His father released a Facebook post saying:
"I'm not one for putting my personal life all over Facebook but after seeing post after post about Jordan and receiving hundreds of messages I felt it was time to say something and share the pictures I know he would have liked rather than the ones all over the news. Jordan was and is the most amazing little person. He had the biggest heart and would do anything for anyone, and when parents say they have the best kid ever, he GENERALLY was the best ever and if I ever could of asked for a perfect child that was my Jordan. I couldn't of been prouder of him always putting other people himself, such a selfless little person."
He added:
"Even now his kindness has meant that 3 other children may be able to live as he always told us he wanted to be able to help other people if he could so was a donor and has donated which we know will be what he wanted."
Among those to pay tribute to Jordan were Liverpool FC, and a number of local clubs, which Jordan followed. Local teams will also hold a minute silence prior to the kick-off of this week's games.
Blackpool town hall also flew their flag at half-mast as a show of respect for the boy.
Jordan was also praised for the good work he did helping others while he was alive. Earlier this year he took part in a run to raise money for mental-health charities in memory of his late uncle.
A crowdfunder has been set up for Jordan's family and has so far raised almost £90,000.
