A Twitter user has published extracts from a book that seem to predict Elon Musk's ambition to colonise Mars.
Twitter user Toby Li shared the extract from the 1953 book by Von Braun called the 'Mars Project' in which a person named Elon would take humans to Mars.
In the Twitter post, Toby Li said:
"Speaking about destiny, did you know that Von Braun's 1953 book "Mars Project," referenced a person named Elon that would bring humans to Mars? Pretty nuts."
The entrepreneur and billionaire was so intrigued that he asked online, 'Is this real?'
To which Li responded saying:
"Yeah it's real. This is the English transcript of the same book ... But "Elon" referred by Von Braun in the book isn't the name of the person but rather the name of the position something like an elected meritocratic president."

Elon Musk is currently undertaking a plan to take humans to Mars by the year 2024 as part of a long-term project to colonise the planet. He is currently head of Space-X, a company that has built and sent into space multiple re-usable rockets.
The Book Li was referring to was written by German-American rocket physicist, astronautical engineer and space architect Wernher Von Braun. The scientist was one of the key figures behind the Nazi V2 rocket project at the end of the Second World War. After the war, the scientist emigrated to the United States and began working for NASA. He also began writing science fiction books.
It is thought that the connection between the book and Musk himself is entirely coincidental.
Musk recently announced that he had been diagnosed with Asperger's Syndrome. He made the announcement during an appearance on Saturday Night Live in which he performed a monologue. He said:
"I don't always have a lot of intonation or variation in how I speak... which I'm told makes for great comedy. I'm actually making history tonight as the first person with Asperger's to host SNL."
He added:
"Look, I know I sometimes say or post strange things, but that's just how my brain works. To anyone who's been offended, I just want to say I reinvented electric cars, and I'm sending people to Mars in a rocket ship. Did you think I was also going to be a chill, normal dude?"
