The CEO of Tesla and founder of SpaceX, Elon Musk, has voiced his support on Twitter in favour of ending Britney Spear's conservatorship. The tweet was shared after Britney's recent court testimony, according to which she has been suffering abuse from her father, who has been in charge of her finances and personal life for more than a decade.
The court recently rejected Britney's appeal to the conservatorship.
Soon after the court's ruling, Musk tweeted: 'Free Britney', thus joining the recent movement that has been created by thousands of her fans.

Britney has spoken out against the conservatorship, which has been standing in the form of a contractual agreement since 2008. The agreement is usually put in place in cases where an individual is incapable of managing his or her finances and make decisions about their life, such as where one is mentally impaired.
Britney has objected to the agreement for significantly limiting her freedom and for imposing control over basic aspects of her life such as her finances and even birth control.
During her 24-minute testimony, as stated in the New York Times, Britney said:
"I've been in denial; I've been in shock; I am traumatized."
And
"I just want my life back."
She also noted that:
"I truly believe this conservatorship is abusive. I don't feel like I can live a full life."
