Singer and songwriter Kelly Clarkson is expected to pay her ex-husband, Brandon Blackstock, $200,000 a month in spousal and child support.
After their divorce a year ago, Clarkson must now pay almost $200 thousand a month to her ex-husband and father of her children to cover their needs, according to the judge's decision.
TMZ reports that the documents signed by the judge who was in charge of the couple's divorce state that the music star and Grammy winner has to pay $150,000 in spousal support and another $45,601 for child support to cover the needs of their children, River, 6, and Remy, 4.
Although the amount might initially seem exaggerated, it should be noted that Blackstock's initial request was $436,000 per month.
Except for the monthly sustenance fees, the judge has also requested that Clarkson pays $1.25 million to cover her ex-husband's attorney fees.
According to a source, Blackstock will only get two more years of spousal support unless the judge decides that the couple's prenup is valid, in which case Blackstock will receive whatever is stated in the agreement.
Clarkson is the primary custodian of their children.
