Photographs of a daring rescue have gone viral after a baby was rescued by firefighters from a car in England.
Remarkably, what makes the pictures so memorable is the fact that the youngster didn't seem to be bothered at all and seemed to be loving the fuss around him.
Brandon Emery, who is 14 months old, accidentally locked himself inside his mother's car and she had to call the fire service to get him back out. But he certainly didn't lose his cool once.
His mother, Kirsty Green, had put her car keys in the trunk of the car while loading groceries and Brandon pushed down the central lock meaning he was sealed inside.
She said:
"I was a bit panicky at first, wondering how I was going to get him out. Luckily a few other shoppers quickly came to help me out, and one lady called the authorities."
While she and passers by tried to unlock the car, she knew she had to phone the authorities. As the fire service arrived and undertook their rescue, young Brandon could be seen laughing and jumping from joy, even perching himself on the steering wheel, as the rescuers made their way into the car.
More worrying was when Brandon found a coin inside the car and put it in his mouth. Kirsty added:
"That's when I started to panic. I thought, 'Oh God, what if he chokes on it.'"
In no time at all, the firefighters broke the window and Brandon was extracted safely. They even posed for photographs with Brandon afterwards.
The pictures soon went viral online.
Kirsty thanked the team, saying:
"They were amazing, and I think just as much as they were keeping Brandon entertained, he was equally making them laugh."
