Following the recent invasion of Ukraine by Russia, an analogy between Hitler and Putin has been frequently drawn during protests in Ukraine.

Nancy Pelosi, the Speaker of the United States House of Representatives, has also characterised Putin as 'very evil' and compared his recent stance to Hitler's annexation of the Sudetenland in 1938.
Pelosi said at the Munich Security Conference in Germany this weekend:
"This, my friends, is our moment. This is the Sudetenland — that's what people were saying there."
