Released footage shows unarmed citizens in Ukraine confronting Russian soldiers across the country.
Videos shared on social media show Ukrainians protesting in front of armed Russian troops and blocking roads through towns and major cities.
A video filmed in Melitopol, a captured city in the south of the country, shows angry demonstrators defying Russian forces.
Some of the unarmed civilians are seen throwing themselves on the ground, blocking the road, while others using their bare hands in an attempt to halt the Russian vehicles.

Some of the residents can be seen carrying the national flag and singing the Ukrainian national anthem as they confront Russian soldiers. In one of the clips, a man is addressing directly one Russian soldier.
He asks:
"What? Will you shoot me? Go ahead, I do not have anything. Go ahead, are you not our brothers? Go ahead, we are unarmed. Why did you come here? Leave while you are alive."
