55-year-old lottery winner, Frances Connolly, said that she is 'addicted' to helping others after giving away more than half of £115 million of her lottery winnings.
Connolly and her husband from Hartlepool had won the 2019 EuroMillions and gave away money to friends and family almost immediately.
Connolly stated that helping others 'gives you a buzz and it's addictive'.
She said:
"I'm addicted to it now."
She and her husband have launched two charitable foundations, one operating in Northern Ireland and one operating in their home town.
The couple estimates to have given away approximately £60 million of their forune.
Connolly had been previously involved in charity, volunteering as a child with St John Ambulance and setting up an AIDS helpline while a student in Belfast.
At the moment, she helps local community groups, assisting people in getting jobs, providing electronic devices for the elderly and supporting refugees and young carers.
When asked why she is happy to give so much away, she responded:
"Why wouldn't you? I've done that all my life. I'd have been a millionaire anyway if I took back all the money I've given away over the years."
